Terms of Service

You must be at least 21 years old to create an account or use Syndicate.

By creating an account, accepting an updated policy version, or using Syndicate, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Responsible Use guidance. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Syndicate is a free social picks and private group coordination app. It helps groups organize picks, discussion, reactions, stats, notifications, and exportable text.

Syndicate is an independent hobby project provided on a best-effort basis. There is no guaranteed uptime, guaranteed feature availability, paid SLA, or 24/7 support.

• Syndicate is not a sportsbook, gambling operator, betting service, financial advisor, payment processor, escrow service, or payout platform.
• Syndicate does not accept wagers, collect stakes, pool funds, process payouts, place bets, or guarantee outcomes.
• Users may not use Syndicate to calculate, record, administer, collect, enforce, or settle monetary obligations between members. This includes cash, Venmo, Cash App, bank transfers, or similar payment methods.
• Anything a user chooses to do outside Syndicate is solely that user's responsibility.

Badges, points, streaks, rankings, standings, and similar virtual items are for recognition and entertainment only. They are nontransferable, nonredeemable, cannot be bought or sold, and have no cash or real-world value.

Syndicate does not accept or display advertising, sponsorships, affiliate promotions, or paid placements for sportsbooks, casinos, daily fantasy sports operators, sweepstakes casinos, paid-pick sellers, or other gambling affiliates.

Sportsbook names may be shown only to identify the source of displayed odds. Syndicate is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by those sportsbook operators.

Users are responsible for keeping their email account secure and for activity associated with their Syndicate account.

Users may not impersonate another person or use Syndicate in a way that harms other users, the owner, or the service.

Picks, odds, scores, labels, stats, copied text, and exported text are for entertainment, social competition, and convenience.

Sports data, odds, rules, player availability, sportsbook availability, and results can change or be incorrect. Users should independently verify anything important outside Syndicate.

AI-generated searches, recaps, roasts, and accolades may be inaccurate and are provided for convenience and entertainment. They do not determine official results or provide betting advice.

Users are responsible for the picks, comments, reactions, group names, usernames, and other content they submit.

Users keep ownership of their content, but give Syndicate permission to store, display, process, and transmit it as needed to operate the app.

Users may not use Syndicate for illegal activity, harassment, scams, impersonation, spam, scraping, security abuse, payment collection for wagers, pooling funds, administering or settling monetary obligations between members, selling guaranteed picks, or coordinating illegal gambling.

Syndicate may remove content, archive groups, restrict accounts, or limit features when needed to protect users, the owner, or the service.

Syndicate's core group experience is currently free. Any voluntary support payment is a tip that helps fund the project. It is not a charitable donation, wager, stake, entry fee, group due, pooled fund, or prize contribution.

Voluntary support does not affect picks, stats, rankings, visibility, exports, group access, outcomes, service priority, uptime, or feature availability, and does not create a right to a refund except where required by law or offered by the hosted payment provider.

If paid features, subscriptions, or ads are added later, the legal and privacy pages should be updated before launch.

Syndicate may rely on outside services for hosting, sign-in, data storage, analytics, error monitoring, alerts, sports data, and other app functions. Those services may change, fail, or provide incomplete information.

Links or references to outside services are for convenience only. Syndicate does not control those services.

Syndicate is provided as-is and as-available. The owner does not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, or available at any particular time.

Syndicate does not provide gambling, financial, legal, tax, investment, or professional advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the owner is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from use of Syndicate.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty or liability limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to every user.

These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Missouri, United States, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

These Terms may be updated as Syndicate changes. Continued use after changes are posted means the user accepts the updated Terms.
